You know what annoys me the most about modern program installers (especially on Windows) is the lack of choice. I don't want to hunt down an advanced option just to specify
certain installation settings such as install directory, and if I want desktop icons. I wish that they would make the option more ovious. The most annoying type of installer is
ones where it's completely automated with no ability to change install directory or other install options. Personally, I don't mind these types of installers, but some power users
may want choice in these matters, so having a manual option would be great.
Those were my thoughts on program installers.
